Ayushmann Kurrana enjoys the success of his recently released medical drama doctor g. Like his previous critically acclaimed outings, Anubhuti Kashyap’s directing contains a unique story. The film hits theaters on October 14.
EXCLUSIVE: Ayushmann Khurrana Says Doctor G Is “Satya Ghatnaon Par Aadharit” And Emphasizes Importance Of Sex Education
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood HungamaAyushmann said the film is based on true events and is about the importance of sex education.
He said: “You know your movie satya ghatnaon par aadharit hai, yeh main bolna chaahta hoon. Aur aisa humne bohot baar dekha hai news main bhi ki doctors ko but rahe hai, for no reason at all. I mean they just do their job yaar om aapko iss movie mein nazar aayega download. [You know this film is based on true events, I wanted to put this out. An all of us have seen it a lot of times, even in the news, how doctors are beaten up for no reason. I mean they’re just doing their jobs. So that is also being shown in the film.]
He continued: “And even the last punch line because the guy doesn’t know where to penetrate in the movie, so it’s pretty funny. I recently got Dr. Ganatra, the famous gynecologist in Mumbai, interviewed.”
“So he told me aisa mere saath bohot baar hua hai ki unko pata hi nhi kaha jaana hai. That’s why sex education is so important, humare desh me vo hota nahi hai. So probably this movie will help. [So, he was telling me this has happened to him a lot of times that he did not know what to do. That’s why sex education is so important which is clearly not being taught in our country. So, probably this film will help.]”
Speaking of Doctor G, the film is a medical drama in which he can be seen in the role of a gynecologist. The ensemble star cast of the film also includes Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah.
