Over the years, music composers Salim-Sulaiman have managed to become one of the most respected names in Hindi film music. From Chak De! India, fashion until Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Band Baaja Baaraat and much more, the Merchant brothers have come a long way in making great hit music albums for countless Bollywood movies; for decades now.
In an exclusive music room interview with Bollywood HungamaWhile sharing the interesting behind-the-scenes stories of how they created their chartbuster music scores, the musical duo went on to talk about that one song of theirs that has helped people and students through tough times. “Your Hausla [from 2006 film Dor] is my favorite song from our compositions,” Salim said during the conversation.
Continue talking about how Your Hausla has influenced and helped so many people around the world, especially students, through their difficult times, Sulaiman told: “There are many people who have told us that when they study, or they get stuck; there are many people outside India who tell us, ‘We were stuck in hard times and this song gave us motivation and hope’.
“Exams, students, people struggling with different issues and even patients,” Salim added. “Many people with a terminal illness listen to the song. We even get emails and social media posts that this song helped me through this disease.
