For the past few days, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have been in the news for their upcoming wedding. Although the couple announced their decision to tie the knot in 2020 due to the pandemic, they waited patiently to reschedule their wedding. And last month, reports said that the couple has decided to hold their wedding ceremony in October and it will be completely in the thick Indian wedding style with various functions, rituals and celebrations.

The couple, who were busy with their respective work obligations, have returned to Delhi to start the wedding festivities. And before the main functions started on September 30, the couple decided to organize an informal meeting with their parents, friends and loved ones. It is supposed to be a small event with a very limited number of guests as they get a chance to meet and interact with each other before getting busy with other ceremonies and functions.
The same confirmed a source close to the couple Bollywood Hungama“The wedding celebrations start with an intimate family gathering in Delhi – there is a dinner etc. for close relatives and their childhood friends. It’s not a ritual. It is more of a meeting between families, which is a very common tradition. And just an informal gathering with an intimate dinner hosted by Richa and Ali for their families. It is happening today at a private location in central Delhi. There will only be 30-35 people.”
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are planning several events in the capital but will tie the knot in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai on October 6. The couple plans to host two big receptions for their relatives and friends in Delhi and Mumbai. On the work front, Richa has the magnum opus web series Heeramandi, which is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, while Ali Fazal returns as the famous Guddu Bhaiya in the Amazon Prime series Mirzapur.
