While ratings dropped slightly across all three titles, overall average viewership increased.
According to Nielsen’s Live Plus same-day data, all three “FBI” titles tied together to seal victory in both the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and overall average viewership for CBS Tuesdays. While the network saw a slight drop in ratings last week (from 0.49 to 0.45 in the key age range), it increased its viewing figures from 6.1 million average viewers to 6.3 on Tuesday.
Episode 4 of the flagship and spinoff series – “FBI,” “FBI: International” and “FBI: Most Wanted” – delivered solid viewership: 7.4, 6.1 and 5.4 million average viewers, respectively. Each program increased its audience by a couple to several hundreds of thousands of spectators.
Rating-wise, each program saw a slight drop compared to the week before. Last week, ratings were at their strongest for the original show, garnering a 0.55 rating. At 9 p.m., “FBI: International” had a demo rating of 0.4 and at 10 p.m. “FBI: Most Wanted” had a demo rating of 0.38.
Here’s how primetime fell short at the major broadcasters:
CBS ranked first in both ratings and overall average viewership, while ABC was second for ratings in demos with 0.44.
ABC debuted at 8 p.m. with an installment of “Bachelor in Paradise”, which hit 0.55 in the lead demo and garnered a total of 2.1 viewers. At 10 p.m., the network aired an episode of “The Rookie Fed” starring Niece Nash, which drew 0.23 in demos and an average of 1.6 million viewers.
NBC ranked third in the ratings with an average of 0.41 in performance. The network was the first runner-up in overall average viewership with 4.2 million. The network placed itself in competition with an installment of “The Voice”, which drew 0.6 in demos and an average total of 6.3 million viewers. An hour later, at 9 p.m., NBC aired “La Brea” with a 0.38 rating and 3.5 million average viewers. The network closed with a broadcast of “New Amsterdam” at 10 p.m., where the program received an average rating of 0.24 and a total of 2.6 million viewers.
Fox ranked fourth in ratings, receiving an average of 0.29 in demos, while third in overall average viewership, which stood at 2.2 million. At 8 p.m., Fox’s “The Resident” averaged 0.36 million in ratings and 2.7 million viewers. An hour later, “Monarch” drew 0.21 in demos and an average audience of 1.7 million.
The CW was fifth in ratings, with 0.09 in demos, as well as fifth in overall average viewers, with 562,000. Meanwhile, ABC was in fourth place in total average viewers, attracting 1.9 million. With the premiere of “The Winchesters,” the prequel series to “Supernatural,” The CW was able to jump nearly a point in ratings, from 0.03 to 0.12 last week. The series also more than doubled the total average viewership from the previous week (which saw an episode of “Leonardo”), which stood at 781,000. The network closed with the airing of the “professional” pilot at 9 p.m., which drew an average audience of 0.05 and more in the major demo.

Among Spanish-language networks, Univision was in the first demo with 0.4 and a total of 1.5 million viewers in primetime. “La Herencia, un legado de amor” received a demo rating of 0.5 and a total of 1.5 million viewers at 8 p.m. “Los Ricos Tambián Loran”, which aired from 9 to 11, received 0.4 in the demo and 1.5 million total viewers.
Telemundo finished second with a 0.2 demo rating and an average of 852,000 viewers. “Exatalon”, which aired from 7 to 9 pm, managed a 0.2 demo rating and a total of 796,000 viewers. “Fuego del Destino” was broadcast from 9 to 10 p.m. to a 0.2 demo rating and 800,000 average total viewers. has been closed.
