It’s no surprise that Fox’s WWE “Friday Night SmackDown” scored another ratings win on Friday. The primetime matchup took home a 0.6 in the demo, crowning Fox the primetime champion among the major broadcasters.
But it was ABC that came first in terms of total viewers, with an average of 3.1 million people tuning in for “Shark Tank” and “20/20.” The network got a 0.4 overall in the demo.

This compares to the 2.5 million total viewers managed by “SmackDown”, which is still an impressive feat for the program. In fact, it is the largest audience since Christmas Day 2020, when 3.3 million people watched it.
Here’s how primetime broke down across the major broadcast networks:
Fox, which aired “SmackDown” in primetime, was first in ratings with an average of 0.6 ratings in the main demo, while ABC was in total viewership with an average of 3.1 million, according to official Live Plus same-day Nielsen data.
ABC was second in ratings and averaged 0.4 in demos. Fox and NBC ranked second with an average of 2.5 million in total viewers. NBC ranked third in ratings with an average of 0.3 in the demo.
On ABC, “Shark Tank” garnered a 0.5 demo rating and 3.8 million total viewers at 8 p.m., “20/20” managed a total of 2.7 million viewers, along with 0.3 in the demo.
As far as NBC is concerned, “Capital One College Bowl” received a 0.2 demo rating and nearly 1.9 million total viewers of “Dateline” at 8 p.m. took home a 0.3 demo rating and 2.7 million total viewers at 9.
CBS ranked fourth in ratings, with an average of 0.2 in demos and 2.1 million in total viewers. A special episode of “Big Brother” aired at 8 p.m. to a 0.4 demo rating and 2.4 million total viewers, “Secret Celebrity Renovation” secured 0.1 in demos and 1.6 million total viewers. A re-run of “Blue Bloods” rounded things up at 10 with 0.2 and 2.3 million total viewers.
The demo was fifth in the CW ratings with an average of 0.1 and with an average of 290,000 in total viewers. “Killer Camp” was first at 8 pm with 0.1 and 234,000 total viewers, followed by “Kiss Line Is It Anywhere?” Had back-to-back episodes. 9 pm – the first of which had 0.1 and 312,000 total viewers and the second of which received 0.1 and 380,000 total viewers.
Among the Spanish-language networks, Univision ranked first with a total of 0.4 million viewers in demo and 1.2 million in primetime. “La Herencia, un legado de amor”, which aired from 8 pm to 10 pm, garnered a 0.4 demo rating and 1.3 million total viewers. “Los Ricos Tambián Loran” received a total of 1.2 million viewers on demos 0.4 and 10.
Telemundo came in second place in the demo with an average of 0.3 and a total of 1 million viewers. Running from 7 pm to 9 pm, “Top Chef: VIP” garnered a 0.3 demo rating and a total of 1.2 million viewers. It was followed by “Fuego del Destino”, which earned a 0.3 demo rating and a total of 899,000 viewers from 9 to 10. “Infill: Historia de un Angano” ended the night with a 0.3 demo rating and 966,000 total viewers.
