Funky Kong explains why the ‘Super Mario Bros.’ movie turned him down (VIDEO)

So the big news of the past few weeks in Hollywood is “Super Mario Bros.” The film is a tremendous hit. However, during the “Weekend Update” segment of this week’s episode of NBC’s “SNL,” one particularly iconic Mario impostor character dropped by to explain why he’s barely in the film.

He would be Funky Kong, Donkey Kong’s cousin and really good friend who first appeared in 1994’s Donkey Kong Country. And since it was played by “SNL” MVP Kenan Thompson, the sketch was an absolute delight.

“The New Mario Bros. movie is a huge hit and many fans were looking forward to the appearance of one of the coolest characters in the Mario Universe Funky Kong. So here it is Funky Kong to talk about it,” co-author of “Weekend Update” -Anchor Colin Jost said he set up the gag.

After some coaxing, during which it was established that Funky Kong clearly appears in the background of a scene, Jost asked, “So you’re just in the background. What happened?”

“Man, they cut me off. I think Funky Kong is very real. They don’t want to hear what I have to say. And they sure as hell don’t want to see me work,” said Thompson’s funky.

Thompson’s Funky Kong complains that he “thought I was gonna be in this movie that just made $500 million, 600, but that’s how much you see of me,” showing the barely-there moment in question Is.

When asked why, Thompson’s Funky Kong theorized: “Funky doesn’t know barrels. Funky Kong spends his days cruising. Downs the package of gummies, and I spend my nights with a glass of banana rum at Todd’s”. in a bed full of

“Right. And now are the frogs male or female?” asked Jost.

“Cowardice. Don’t know. Cowardice. Don’t ask,” he said.

Jost said it was a shame Funky wasn’t in the film, and noted that Donkey Kong was a major character, to which Thompson’s Funky Kong replied, “Oh yeah, man. Donkey Kong is totally in it, but They’re not even using Monkey Kong.

“Who’s Monkey Kong?” asked Jost.

“He’s an ass,” Thompson joked.

Continuing to explain why he wasn’t in the film, Thompson’s Funky Kong said, “Because I was in my trailer drumming on booty cheeks, like the bongos in the mini-game. I was there like, booty cheeks, boobs.” Meat, booty cheeks, breast meat.

What Thompson and Jost called it was “Super Mario Bros.” Movie script with cut scene of Funky Kong. Mainly, it consisted of the generic “Super Mario Bros.” landscape, and Funky Kong is very sensual. The bit then ends with Funky Kong insisting that he had sex with Jost’s mother.
