The 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards are being handed out on Santa Monica Beach in Los Angeles, Calif., on Saturday — and the only place to watch the kudoscast is online.
IFC, which previously broadcast the Spirit Awards, scrapped the annual event in January. As a result, the Hasan Minhaj-hosted show will air live on the Film Independent and IMDb YouTube channels, starting at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT (which you can also watch via the video embedded above).
On the way to the main event, Abbott Elementary School, the bear, Breakup And station eleven lead the TV pack with three nominations per track, followed by Pachinko, The wearer And someone somewhere (with two nods each).
On the cinema side, Everything everywhere all at once easily leads the pack with eight nominations, followed by Tar (seven nods), After Sun (five nods), and Criminal Emily, Palm tree and power lines And women who talk (with four nods each).
