In 2020, Terence Lewis found himself in hot water after a video of him allegedly touching Nora Fatehi’s ass on stage at India’s Best Dancer went viral on the internet. Netizens had criticized the bait choreographer left, right and center for his actions. While Nora had defended him when things got out of hand, Terence rewatched the episode and said it was just a naughty memer at work.
Speaking about it on Maniesh Paul’s podcast, Terence said it was a simple situation when Shatrughan Singh and his wife came as guests. Their fellow judge Geeta Kapoor thought they should do a full namaskar to greet the veteran actor. Since Malaika had covid, Nora had to take her place.
Both Terence and Nora did the namaskar, but it wasn’t enough for Geeta to suggest that they put in more effort. “So we followed her directions. I can’t even remember if my hand touched her (Nora), I don’t even know if it actually touched,” he said.
He added: “Honestly, Nora had come to the show two weeks earlier and asked me to dance with her… Why would I want to do something like that when there are four cameras around? This is too cheap, you can’t do this I was abused, in my DMs…”
Terence said the memers had sprung into action and it looked too real. He then called Nora because they both got called. “I’ve danced around with her before, and when you’re in the middle of it, you don’t think in that zone. We’re so focused, you can’t be in two worlds, and you need a lot of guts to do something like that. he added.

When the video went viral, Terence had defended herself by saying it had clearly changed and the use of effects was clearly visible. Earlier this year, Terence had addressed his rumored relationship with Nora by saying that they are very good friends.
