“I have no idea what’s up with it” – Deadline

Justin Simien, director of haunted house and author of the Lando Calrissian series at Disney+, talks about it war of stars Universe show almost three years after it was announced.

During Disney Investor Day in December 2020, Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy announced that Simien is working on a series based on Lando, which starred Donald Glover Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Not much has been said about the series, however, other than Kennedy admitting earlier this year that it’s “still happening.” said Simien in a recent interview The Direct that he “has not received an update since this update”.

“I really poured my heart out and spent a lot of time collaborating with them to put together a really great show,” Simien told the outlet. “It feels like everyone loves it. And you know, I was told we had to take a break because of scheduling and the next update I got [was in 2020], a few years ago. So I don’t know, I have no idea what’s going on with that.”

In an interview with GQ earlier this year, Glover said he “would love to play Lando again,” adding, “He’s fun to be. It just has to be the right path.”

The actor said that since the pandemic, people have thought about how “time is precious,” saying, “I have no interest in doing anything that’s just a waste of time or just a paycheck.” I’d much rather spend time with people I enjoy.”

Though he couldn’t reveal much about the development of the series, Glover said he’s “talked about it” with Kennedy and “Lando is definitely someone I’d love to spend time with.”
