‘I would see myself burning in the grave’

In October 2020, former actress Sana Khan had announced that she would be leaving the world of showbiz to serve humanity and follow the path of her Creator. She recently shared a video interview where she talked about suffering from depression and leaving movies and television after being successful. She said she was not happy despite everything. She could see herself burning in the grave and that made her consider changing her life, looking at it as a message from the Almighty. “In my past life, of course, I had everything, name, fame, money. I could do everything I wanted, but one thing that was missing – peace in my heart. I felt like I have everything, but why am I not happy? It was very hard and there were days of depression, there were days of Allah’s message that I could see through his signs,” Sana said in the video. She continued: “In 2019 I still remember, during Ramadan, I saw a grave in my dreams. I would see a burning, blazing grave and I could see myself in the grave. I did not see the empty grave, I saw myself I felt this is the sign God is giving me that if I don’t change this is my end That made me a little worried I still remember the changes that took place I would listen to everyone the motivational Islamic speeches and one night I remember reading such a beautiful thing. The message said you don’t want your last day to be your first day wearing hijab. That’s something that touched me so deeply (starts to cry).”

Sana added that the next morning when she woke up, it was her birthday, she wore a cap inside, wore the scarves she had bought earlier, and said to herself, “I’ll never take this off again.” She also expressed her happiness to go on her religious journey to Haj with her husband as a changed person. “I’m glad that now that I’ve changed, I wouldn’t go back and remove my abaya (hijab) and throw it away,” she said.
