Television actor Paras Kalnawat, who plays Samar in the popular TV show Anupamaa, is in trouble. Yes, you read that right! The actor has reportedly signed the celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 10 and the producers of Anupamaa have canceled his contract. According to the creators, Paras did not inform them before taking on another project on the rival channel. The makers decided to end the collaboration with the actor due to breach of contract.
According to sources close to the show, the production house and creators were shocked to learn that Paras had signed up for the dance reality show. They said that Anupamaa’s team has always been helpful to actors and never stopped them from taking on another project. They revealed that for Paras Kalnawat they had also previously accommodated his dates for other assignments. This piece of news will definitely leave Anupamaa fans shocked.
Producer Rajan Shahi released a statement that read: “We as a production house will not accept any breach of contract. We have terminated his services as an actor with immediate effect. We wish him all the best for his future endeavours.” Paras was quoted by ETimes as saying that his character in Anupamaa didn’t really grow, saying he didn’t want his character’s timing to be reduced to just a family member doing nothing in the background on the show, even saying that when he was offered Jhalak, he found it exciting and had let the makers know what he thought about his role in Anupamaa.
