Prime Video is sharing the holiday season feast with “Jack Ryan” fans. The third season of the show will premiere on Wednesday, December 21, it was announced on Wednesday.
Season 3, which stars John Krasinski as Tom Clancy’s protagonist, will span eight episodes.
Upcoming episodes will feature “Jack Ryan on the Run and in Race Against Time,” according to a logline from the streamer. “Jack is falsely implicated in a larger conspiracy and suddenly finds himself a fugitive in the cold. Now, wanted by both the CIA and an international rogue faction he has uncovered, Jack is forced to stop a major global conflict. During, trying to survive, crossing Europe, forced to go underground. ”
Returning alongside Krasinski for Season 3 are Wendell Pierce as James Greer and Michael Kelly as Mike November. Newcomers to the show include Elena Kovac as Nina Haus and Elizabeth Wright as Betty Gabriel. Both actors are in series regular roles.
“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” is a co-production by Amazon Studios, Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television. Andrew Form, Alison Seeger, Krasinski, Von Wilmot, Brad Fuller and Michael Bay are executive producers. Clancy and Skydance Television’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost along with Mace Neufeld and Carlton Cuse also have an EP for Season 3.
Season 2 of the show premiered in 2019.
