Jackie Oh, cast member of MTV’s ‘Wild ‘N Out’, dies at 32

Jackie Oh, the comedian and rapper best known as a cast member on MTV and VH1’s sketch comedy/battle rap competition series “Wild ‘n Out,” died Thursday of undisclosed causes. She was 32 years old.

Oh, whose real name was Jacqueline Smith, was the long-term partner of YouTuber DC Young Fly.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacqueline Smith, better known as Jackie Oh, a talented Wild N’ Out family member whose impact will always be felt,” read a statement posted to the show’s Instagram account. Will be remembered for.”

“Jackie Oh was a dear friend and beloved collaborator to the Wild N’ Out cast over five seasons,” the post continued. “More importantly, she was a wonderful mother to three beautiful children. BET Media Group extends its deepest condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B. Instagram posts shared from the show and VH1 confirmed the news after initial TMZ reports, which reported that Smith had died in Miami. No cause of death has been confirmed yet.

Smith was known to be in a long-term relationship with YouTuber and fellow “Wild ‘n Out” member DC Young Fly. Her partner still works in competition shows, while Smith has turned to cosmetics in recent years. The couple shares three children: Nova, Nala, and Prince.
