“This is actually really funny, but my friend, I took her to work once and it was by accident when Tobey and Andrew first came. I introduced her to Tobey and she said, ‘Wait. Why is this Spider-Man on your Spider-Man?’ And I thought, “Baby, it’s a very big secret. So don’t say anything.” She’s not a big fan but she clearly loves Spider-Man I think she was going to tell her dad Just like out of nowhere And I had to stop her But her dad wouldn’t say anything I feel like she not used to this world, of course.”

“So she was on it for a year and a half. She knew the secret that everyone wanted to know. Shout out to her. She definitely got to know it [Maguire and Garfield] very quick.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home faced quite a few leaks before its eventual release, but confirmation from Batalon’s girlfriend would have been detrimental to the project’s cast and crew. Fortunately, most fans still had the surprise of their lives at the cinema and one that will not soon be forgotten.
