Jamie Lee Curtis Pitched a Freaky Friday Sequel to Disney

It’s been over 20 years since Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan switched bodies in Freaky Friday, and Curtis would love to do it again in Part 2.

It’s been over twenty years since Jamie Lee Curtis switched places with Lindsay Lohan in Disney’s remake of Crazy Friday, but the Halloween star would certainly like to make a sequel and has even reached out to House of Mouse about the idea. The body swap comedy was a decent hit in 2003, and Curtis says she really wants to do it all again and see Lohan take over her “sexy granny” body.

Crazy Friday was a second remake of Disney’s 1976 film of the same name, which featured a young Jodie Foster trading bodies with her mother, played by Barbara Harris. Around the magical 30th anniversary, the inevitable remake arrived with Curtis playing Lohan’s mother, who found herself in the same predicament of switching bodies and having to live a short time as the other person. Now Curtis looks set to launch a sequel that would overtake her character as a grandmother, who would once again switch places with her daughter. As reported by Varietyshe said The view:

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

“I’ve already written to Disney, my friends at Disney. I’m in their new ‘Haunted Mansion’ movie. Let me be the grandma! Let me be the old grandma switching places. So then Lindsay becomes the sexy granny, who is still happy with Mark Harmon in all the ways you would be happy with Mark Harmon… And just, I’d like Lindsay to be the hot granny, and I’d like me see try dealing with toddlers today. I want to be a helicopter parent in today’s world, like an old lady.”

Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode ends in Halloween

While Jamie Lee Curtis hopes to return to the Crazy Friday franchise, she is currently about to wrap up her most famous film role of Laurie Strode in Halloween ends. Curtis originally played Strode in 1978 and now ends the character’s journey in the finale of David Gordon Green’s trilogy of Halloween movies that started in 2018 Halloweena direct sequel to John Carpenter’s original film, and continued with Halloween kills last year.

This will be the final fight between Laurie and Michael Myers, and Curtis teases an epic final showdown between the pair. Speaking recently about the film, she said:

“It’s a movie about a final reckoning between Laurie and Michael. Michael Myers in that mask represents pure evil. There is no rhyme or reason. Everyone’s worst nightmare comes to life. This experience in the movies is the beauty of Halloween “The fight with Michael is much more violent, unexpected, and it should be like a street fight. This movie… this other character comes in that she’s worried about, but she doesn’t think about Michael. And then Michael comes back. And So the fight was an unexpected fight.”

Halloween ends will be released simultaneously in theaters and on paid tiers of Peacock on October 14.
