All of Bihar listens to Janhvi Kapoor. She plays a Bihari daughter of a sick mother in Sidharth Sengupta’s Good luck, Jerry streaming on Disney+ Hostar starting July 29. The film is a remake of the 2018 Tamil hit Kolamaavu Kokila in which Nayanthara played the lead role.

Janhvi Kapoor prepares for her role in Good Luck Jerry; says: “I trained extensively for the Bihari dialect”

After hearing the ‘Bihari’ accent of Hrithik Roshan and Sara Ali Khan in Super 30 and atrangi Re, Janhvi decided to work very hard to get the Bihari accent right. Respond to her dialect for Good luck Jerry Janhvi Kapoor said, “I trained extensively for Bihari dialect. We had a couple of coaches, namely Ganesh Sir and Mr. Vinod. We attended a workshop and listened to all those songs.”

Janhvi was even made to learn to abuse with a Bihari accent. “Right. I had to do an exercise where he would have me say Bihari abuse as part of the training. The whole process was really fun in the end. I’m so grateful to have learned the syntax of that part of our country.”
