What The Hell Navya, a podcast led by Navya Naveli Nanda along with Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan, is a real treat for fans of the Bachchan family. After a conversation about Desi parenting and the importance of female friendship, the podcast’s third episode focuses on “Comfort in Content”. The episode has its own share of fun moments, including Jaya revealing why her grandson Agastya likes to watch Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.

Interestingly, it all started when Navya asked the two about their favorite movies. In response, Jaya said:Gone with the windand everything [Marlon] brando movies, On the water sideand Paul Newman’s Cat on a hot tin roof. I like those old movies. In Indian movies I prefer the old ones, I prefer Dilip Kumar Devdas, Mughal-E-Azam. i can watch Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham at any time. I like weak movies.”
Add to the listing of K3GShweta added: “It’s a film that doesn’t age. Agastya [Nanda] looks at it a lot. When he looks at grandma’s [Amitabh Bachchan] movies, he doesn’t understand them. But K3G is something he can look at again and again.” To Shweta’s response, Jaya was quick to add that Agastya is only watching the film to “spot” her in it.
Not only this, in the episode, Jaya also candidly said she was doing her PhD in Turkish shows, while Navya opened up about her “dumb” reality shows.
Coming to Agastya, he will soon start his film career with Zoya Akhtar’s film The Archies also with Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor. It is scheduled to hit Netflix in 2023.
