Jeffrey Dean Morgan disappointed with the treatment of Walking Dead spin-off reveals

Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Negan in The Walking Dead and has his own spin-off on the way, but the actor thinks its announcement was completely wrong.

The living Dead is spreading in a number of spin-offs featuring some of the much-loved characters from the series, one of which is Jeffrey Dean Morgan‘s Negan, going upstairs dead city with Loren Cohen’s Maggie. However, the actor doesn’t believe the spin-offs should have been revealed as they have been, as it removes the danger of the flagship show’s finale.

The living Dead had had a rocky road from his early success, via a tricky later run, and is now in the final straight of his 11th season at AMC. Despite the series ending after the new installments this fall, the franchise still has plenty of life to it, with enough spin-offs to make it seem like the series hasn’t really ended yet. Having played one of the show’s biggest antagonists before becoming one of the good guys, well almost, Jeffrey Dean Morgan doesn’t think the right thing was done in deciding how the new spin-offs will be unveiled. While talking to Weekly entertainmentMorgan noted:

“That’s not the way we should have handled it. But this is how it was chosen to play out. And who knows? Maybe we couldn’t have kept the secret. But I think we could have given it a shot .

The Walking Dead has already revealed which characters will continue after the series finale

It’s easy to see where Morgan came from as he expressed his displeasure along the way The living Dead‘s spin-off shows were announced before the third part of Season 11 even got underway. When a long-running series comes to an end, there’s always a possibility that the finale could see the demise of some favorite characters, as seen in shows like Game of Thrones, Lost and Break bad. Despite the perils that await the characters as the Commonwealth goes into battle, we already know which characters will set out on their own adventures next year and beyond.

As well as the Negan and Maggie-centric dead cityIn which the questionable combination will head to a zombie-infested Manhattan, Daryl will have his own series as he heads to France in a story that seems to fit into the finale of Walking Dead: The World Beyondand more recently, it was announced that Andrew Lincoln will reprise his role as Rick Grimes, who will be reunited with Michonne (Danai Guiria) in a new limited series that will replace the long-promised Rick Grimes movies.

That is of course not true the future Walking Dead content will end, if Stories of the Walking Dead is getting a second season, and Fear of the Walking Dead is still very much alive. Even then, there’s nothing to say that the spin-offs announced will be the last, as it’s a big world out there and there’s still plenty of stories to tell within the bigger universe.
