Earlier this month, Bassett said the new season was going to be great.

“It would blow people away. When we got the new script and everything, all the actors were nervous, so it’s so exciting. ‘High School Musical’ has made us…so to come back [the third film] Really special,” he said. “I personally think people are going to enjoy it, and I’m excited to see what we do with it.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time the original cast has made an appearance on the series. Grabiel made a cameo in Season 1, and Bleu returned for Season 3 as an enhanced version of his true self. Bleu — who had been involved in the series off-screen in earlier seasons — previously told TheWrap that Federal was instrumental in getting his head back in the game.

“They really made me so comfortable and part of the process to be able to feel comfortable coming back to the franchise,” Blue said. “I will always say, if I ever had to come back it would have been in the right conditions and he totally made it.”
