Joy Reid calls Herschel Walker a ‘disgrace to black people’

MSNBC host Joy Reid denounced Georgia’s Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Tuesday night, as the state’s election between Herschelle Walker and Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock wraps up.

Speaking among a panel of anchors and analysts during the network’s coverage of the special election, Reed discussed a trip to Georgia during which he spoke to potential voters.

Reed said, “While I was there, the word I heard most, especially from black voters in Georgia, was representation.”

Reid said that there was only one among the candidates who “proves that America is not racist,” and it was “obviously Warnock”.

Reid said, “Warnock is an intelligent, articulate man who can speak fluently, who understands the work of being a senator, who passed a bunch of bills that helped Georgia.” Is.”

Reed said that Warnock addressed Georgia’s needs in health care and agriculture, while “Herschel Walker could barely put a sentence together.”

Reid continued his verbal criticism of Walker by referring to his defense of a racial epithet on TV, turning it into a “praise about himself”.

“It’s a great lesson for Republicans,” said the host of “The ReadOut.” “The answer to solving your demographic problem is not to put forward such a low quality candidate. It’s an insult to black people and they feel disrespected.”
