For the inexperienced, the Queen actress recently went to her hometown of Himachal Pradesh, and attended a program arranged by Aaj Tak. Speaking at the event, the actress said she is open to fighting Mandi’s election in Himachal Pradesh if the public wants it and the BJP gives her a ticket.
When asked about her plan to go into politics, the… simran actress said: “Jis tarah kehaalat honge, government chahegi mera participation ho, vo I will be very open to all kinds of participation.” She added: “Like I said, it would be great if people in Himachal Pradesh would give me a chance to serve. So it will definitely be sobhagya kifruit.”
The Tanu Weds Manu actress also spoke about the Assembly polls in the Hill State. She stated, “Himachal Pradesh will not fall for false promises from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). People in Himachal have their own solar energy and people grow their own vegetables. Freebies don’t work for AAP in Himachal.”
The 35-year-old actress is coming to her professional front and will next be featured in Emergency. The starring cast of the film also includes Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Shreyas Talpade and Milind Soman. In the upcoming film, she will be featured as the titular character of the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. It also marks her second directorial project. The actress also has Tejas and Tiku Weds Sheru in the pipeline.
