Karan Johar reveals why he hasn’t invited Taapsee Pannu on his chat show – ‘If she declines…’

Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan 7 has ended. The filmmaker shot for a special finale episode with content creators Tanmay Bhatt, Danish Sait, Kusha Kapila and Niharika NM turning the tables on the show’s host. During the episode, they asked Karan a lot of questions and one of them was about not inviting Taapsee Pannu on his chat show despite being critically successful. Earlier, when Koffee With Karan 7 was just launched, Taapsee was questioned by the media about why she didn’t go to Karan Johar’s chat show. To which she replied that her sex life is not interesting enough to be invited to Koffee With Karan. Her witty response seemed to be a pointy one, as this season has mostly revolved around the sex lives of its celebrity guests. “I have a boring life, what do you want to ask me? Which links, which relationships? All the exciting parts of my life are out in the open. But that’s not exciting enough to be spoken on such a show. It can be talked about on a news talent show,” Taapsee said in an Instagram live with Fever 104’s Stutee Ghosh, expressing her surprise at how a show has become a validation for actors. Revealing why he hasn’t invited Taapsee yet, Karan replied to Kusha’s question, “It’s 12 episodes, you have to pick combinations that make sense. Just to tell Taapsee that when I’ll ask and ask her to come on the show, where we can work out an exciting combination and if she rejects me, I will be sad.”

Since Koffee With Karan 7 has come to an end, the creators have already been sanctioned to continue with the 8th season. It would be interesting to see what kind of exciting lineup of actors Karan would have for the next season. Let’s wait and see.
