Kaun Banega Crorepati is back on Indian television! Amitabh Bachchan will be back on the hotseat as host with Season 14 and the first guest will be Aamir Khan. The actor will appear on the new season premiere to promote his upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha which will be released on August 11, 2022. The new season will premiere on August 7, 2022.

The first promo was unveiled on Saturday in honor of Independence Day Week. Apart from Aamir, the other guests in the premiere episode include Kargil War veteran Major DP Singh, Colonel Mitali Madhumita (first female officer in the Indian Army) who won Sena Medal Gallantry, Padma Vibhushan athlete MC Mary Kom and Padma Shri Sunil Chhetri (Footballer).
Earlier this month, Amitabh Bachchan took to his official blog to talk about returning to television. “Back to the shelves and the fears and fears and doubts come up again.. and each season presents itself the same way.. others think differently about it.. they are not wise, or in the right process of understanding needed is to face camera and audience .. a claim much discussed but in all seriousness it is factual for me,” he wrote.
“Fake rehearsals are such a must.. all the detailing of the work, the changes the understanding of the work and then its execution.. all a jumble and the doers say it’s good we’ll make it and get it right do.. I have nothing but praise for their trust.. and I hope it all falls into place.. oh dear.. life is a challenge every day..” he added.
In the meantime, Laal Singh Chaddha arrives in theaters on August 11, 2022. The film is an official Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks actor Forrest Gump.
