And perhaps the biggest applause and cheers happen after (Ethan Suplee) shows up as Willam Black! I say William JACKED, as Ethan is now a rock hard bodybuilder! But even while he looks incredibly fit, the moment he roars “WHEN LORD?!?” He’s instantly recognizable by his Mallrats lament! Clerks III Could Lead To Mallrats 2 Finally Happening

when we see Mallrats characters in clerks IIIdoes that mean Mall rats 2 is on the horizon? You can, according to Smith. Earlier, Smith announced his plans to make a sequel which he called Twilight of the Mallrats, but as of now, the project has not yet been officially given the green light. Speaking to THR recently, Smith said he hopes: clerks III will do well enough with its theatrical run that the Mallrats sequel finally gets moving.

“We hope with God that clerks III is the Kaopectate or the Pepto Bismol, if you will, that makes the Mallrats guts, and suddenly that shit starts flowing,” Smith said elegantly. “I know the good folks at Lionsgate and our producers, Liz [Destro] and Jordan [Monsanto]We’ve had talks to try and make that happen.”

He added: “It’s a Universal project, so Universal owns Mallrats even if they often forget. When I bring it up I’m like, ‘I want to make’ Mallrats,’ and they always say, ‘Go ahead.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, but you own it.’ And they say, ‘We do?’ Because the movie isn’t fast-paced or furious, it’s not really a movie they pay much attention to, but clerks III might make it a little easier… I’m still hopeful, but I don’t think you’ve seen the last of Brodie Bruce.”
