The production team of the popular TVING show Yumi’s Cells, starring Kim Go Eun, GOT7 member Jinyoung and Ahn Bo Hyun, has responded to fans’ high hopes for another season. The show recently concluded its season 2 last week with an open and emotional ending.
Kim Go Run prompted the makers of Yumi’s Cells to take a break; comment on season 3 exceptions
As Soompi points out, Yumi’s Cells is a romantic fantasy drama based on the popular webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi, from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head that control her every thought, feeling and action. Kim Go Eun plays the titular role of Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles to express her feelings.
The first season of Yumi’s Cells, which aired in the fall of 2021, became the first ever K-drama to combine live action and 3D animation. As the report shares, a drama source stated on July 26: “We are grateful that viewers have as many expectations for Season 3 as they have for Seasons 1 and 2. Season 2 has just ended and seasons require long production time, so the production team need to take a break first, then season 3 will be discussed.”
