Coffee With Karan season 7 came to an end with last week’s episode starring Gauri Khan, Bhavana Pandey and Maheep Kapoor. A special episode premiered on Thursday morning. The special guests were social media stars Tanmay Bhat, Kusha Kapila, Danish Sait and Niharika NM. The four pointed out that he was indeed biased towards Janhvi Kapoor in the second episode starring Sara Ali Khan.

Niharika NM mentioned how Karan Johar kept calling Janhvi Kapoor “hot” in the episode but criticized Sara Ali Khan for coming from a broken home. “As someone raised by a single parent, I would have cried. That poor girl was so strong,” said the Danish Sait. Kusha said, “And comments were made about who is hotter, who is frugal with money, who gets the next Dharma project.”
Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor appeared in the second episode of the season. Karan went on to reveal why it seemed like he was biased. He said it was the first episode of the season and there was a technical glitch that caused Janhvi to win the basket for the rapid-fire round. But when informed about the glitch, it was revealed that it was Sara who had won it. He said he was trying to overcompensate by praising Janhvi. Although an error occurred, it did not air during the episode. He said, ‘I love Sara, she also works with us – two feature films. We started our season by shooting the Sara-Janhvi episode. He revealed that a technical error had been made after the rapid-fire round, which declared Janhvi the winner. Janhvi was so happy, and five minutes later we had to say it was a mistake. I felt so guilty that I started calling her hot, and that whole part got cut, and it just came across as being biased.”
Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor will be the next star in Mr and Mrs Mahi and Bawaal. On the other hand, Sara Ali Khan will star in gaslight and the next from Laxman Utekar.
