Days after the demolition of Noida’s twin tower, Kundali Bhagya actor Manit Joura had revealed that he owned two flats in it. In a video shared by Manit’s co-star Shraddha Arya on Thursday, the former spoke candidly about the difficulties and revealed that the government had recovered 70% of the money invested. Manit spoke in detail about the same with ETime, sharing that they were unaware that there was a case against the builders regarding the construction.

The Naagin 6 actor said: “Yes, my father had bought two flats in the Twin Towers, Apex and Ceyane. He bought a flat in 2011 and another in 2013 as an investment for me. We didn’t know there was a case going on to the builders regarding certain issues related to this construction. It was our right to know, but they chose not to tell us.”
As his conversation progressed, Joura claimed: ‘My father had dreamed of a nice place in a good location, but that didn’t happen. The Supreme Court has ruled that the builders must pay the buyers interest on the amount given to them. However, they paid us the interest for only a few months, and then we filed a new case.”
Giving further information, he added, “then they started paying us in small amounts for a while, which didn’t really help because what we paid for the property was a hefty sum.”
Manit shared his thoughts on the demolition of the supertech towers, going on to say: “It was painful. I didn’t even see the video of the demolition nor did I talk to my parents about it. We received some money from the builders , that the court ordered them to give, but that amount is not close to what the market value of the flats currently is.”
On August 28, the twin skyscrapers were demolished for their violation of laws, building codes and fire safety standards.
