Vijay Deverakonda’s First Pan India Movie, liger, recorded a flat trend on Saturday. According to early estimates liger has collected in the range of € 4.10 to Rs 4.50 crores, bringing the total collections to Rs. $10.25 million. For those who don’t know, liger collected Rs. 1.25 crores in paid previews, followed by Rs. 4.50 crores on Friday.

The film industry is driven by the masses and young people, but with negative talk, a healthy weekday trend is unlikely. There is a big game between India and Pakistan on Sunday and therefore the collections will see a downward trend compared to the conventional jumping patterns on Sunday.

If the conversation was positive, liger would have come out on top as there certainly seems to be an interest among the public in watching mass cinema on the big screen. liger will clock the opening weekend including paid preview just under Rs. 15 crores and it won’t pay much from there. The longevity biz is expected to be south of Rs. 25 million dollars.

liger does the best business in places like UP, Bihar and some other mass-band centers, while national multiplex chains have remained low. The two-day business is still better than many Bollywood movies released this year, despite some negative talk
