liger (Hindi) registered a free fall in collections on the fourth day when the collections crashed at around Rs. 1 crore range (Rs. 90 lakhs to Rs. 1.30 crores) according to estimates. The film has registered a huge drop across the board, and this has to do with the negative public talk across the board. The star of Vijay Deverakonda is also officially a flop in the Hindi belts.
The writing was on the wall in the South Indian markets, but the film showed a sort of grip on collections in the Hindi-speaking markets. But even that bit of hope is now gone with the fall of the collections on the fourth day. The total collection of liger now stands at around Rs. 15 crores and the film will finish at the box office around Rs. 20 crore mark.
On their own, the collections are on par with some of the top-name Hindi disasters. ‘s collections liger will be in the same range as Jersey and Jayeshbhai Jordaarwith Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh – in the Hindi belts.
The film is a major disaster in the southern markets, with distributors losing more than Rs. 50 crores, while it’s just a flop in the Hindi belts. As far as foreign countries are concerned, the performance there is also disastrous. The total losses on liger for the global level distributors, it will be north of Rs. 60 crores, making it one of the bigger disasters of the year.
