Vijay Deverakonda’s highly anticipated trailer for his upcoming movie, liger was unveiled to much fanfare in Hyderabad and Mumbai. In the film, in which the young man is a professional MMA fighter, Ramya Krishnan and Ananya Panday play pivotal roles with the special appearance of Mike Tyson. At the press conference, Ranveer asked why Vijay was wearing chappals at the launch of the trailer.

Ranveer Singh, who was the special guest at the event, commented: “Bhai ka style dekho, aise lag raha hai, ye mere trailer launch pe aaya hai ya main inke trailer launch pe aaya hu (Look at the brother’s style, looks like he came to my trailer launch instead of me to his trailer launch)’”
Vijay had traveled from Hyderabad on Thursday following the launch of the Telugu trailer. He was dressed in a black T-shirt with “The” in capital letters, paired with beige cargo pants and white chappals. Ranveer compared Vijay to John Abraham, who also wears chappals to events.
liger is all set to hit the big screens on August 25. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, it also stars Ramya Krishnan and Ananya Panday in pivotal roles.
