Los Montaners to debut on Disney+ in November (Exclusive)

Los Montaners is leaving for Disney+ next month. The series, which follows the lives of the iconic Montaner family, will begin with five episodes on November 9.

“We have a show that really shows you the magic that this family has,” creator Lex Borrero, who produced the reality series through his and Tommy Mottola’s joint content studio Ntertain, told TheWrap. “I think people are going to get out of this, this incredible family going through the things we all go through and seeing them handle it together in a way that’s really amazing. I mean, I guess That at the end of the show, you’ll want to be a part of this family.”

The series promises to pull back the curtain on the Montaners, giving them unrestricted access to their family life. Some of those moments include the wedding of Ricky and Steffi, the birth of Ivaluna and Camilo’s son, Andigo, and Mau and Sarah’s desire to start a family.

Spanning 10 episodes viewers can expect Verite-style documentary, created with mixed media formats, such as cell phone footage and confessional interviews, using the personal video and photo collections of Ricardo, who over the years recorded the small and big moments of his growing family with his camera has done.

“Los Montaners” marks a joint venture with the unreleased team of Disney-branded television, which Borrero said “understood the vision for the series”.

“We didn’t want to do a show about a bunch of dramas or create situations with too much tension so that gossip blogs could write about it. We wanted a show that was really like a music documentary. Feel it, because at the end of the day, it’s a family full of musicians,” he explained, adding that 185 hours of footage was shot over a period of two years. “Whatever happens in the show is not scripted in any way. All we did was ask them exactly what they were going to do, and we documented it.”

Borrero’s ultimate goal, along with “Los Montanres”, as well as the rest of Nuttertan’s efforts, is to create content for Latinos that is “relevant to the culture for conversation.” The studio also recently launched another series called “El Plan”, hosted by renowned Latinx media personality, Ilion Gallero.

On YouTube, Ntertain Networks presents content on popular and emerging trends in music, pop culture, style, sneakers, sports, cooking and daily news – all for Latin consumers.

“When we looked at our stuff, we said ‘Okay, we think Latin consumers are ready for a more educated version of the human story. So it’s not just,’ I’m a maid, and I made it. .’ Or ‘I’m a narco, and this is a narco story,'” Borrero said. “The main mission is really telling story human stories that haven’t been told. I want to change that.”

Five episodes of “Los Montaners” will be available on Disney+ on November 9. The other five episodes will debut at a later date.
