Esha Kansara who was last seen in Madam Sir has been in the industry for over a decade. She started her acting journey in the year 2010 with Mukti Bandhan. The actress has come a long way since then and has managed to build a loyal fan base for herself. She played the role of Mishri Pandey, who was widely loved by everyone. Now she is looking for opportunities to boost her career. She takes her time to focus on the opportunities that come her way. She is at a stage where she can take the liberty to evaluate the opportunities and pick the best of the lot that will give her a platform to grow. Speaking of the industry, there is also a negative side to it.
Esha Kansara and all about the fake casting call
In a candid conversation with BollywoodLife.com, Esha Kansara spoke about the threat of the casting couch. Many celebrities have spoken about the horrific casting couch experiences. When asked about the same, Esha stated during the conversation that she had never been in such a situation, but in the early days of her career, she had received a fake casting call. She shared that during the Mukti Bandhan days she received a call from a number in Dubai and that it was for the casting of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She quoted: “It wasn’t a bad experience. But someone tried a trick on me. It was a long time ago, from the time of Mukti Bandhan and no, it didn’t really bother me. I got a call from a number from Dubai. That someone was like we were casting for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and I was like why are you calling from Dubai?”
She said she knew the show’s team and the people who cast for it. She immediately understood that it was a fake call. She played along to find out what the called party had to say. She said: “It was like we were casting for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, but there is only one condition: you have to compromise. It was so in the face.”
Esha Kansara then threatened the person not to give such a trick call to anyone else and she shared the number with the police. The actress immediately shared the number with the person concerned from team. She went on to say: “It’s a shame that actresses and actors play tricks like that. It was a minor incident for me because I was thankfully aware of it.” It is indeed unfortunate that such incidents occur in the industry.
