As the Patel family prepares to take all viewers on a rollercoaster ride with Maya Ma, excitement is at an all-time high for the upcoming Amazon Original movie premiere this festive season. The cast of the highly anticipated movie recently shared their experiences while filming for the movie, and it’s made us even more excited to see the movie coming out on October 6!
Madhuri Dixit says she has many memories of ‘good times’ while shooting for Maja Ma
Madhuri Dixit said of all the fun behind the scenes: “There are so many memories of the fun time we spent behind the scenes and while working on the film. This one time I couldn’t keep my face straight because of Gajraj’s dialogue ji. It was a serious scene and Gajraj ji had some hilarious lines, and everyone is aware of his signature style. It’s so hard to keep your face straight when you’re shooting with him. I was afraid I was going to laugh, so I started humming sad songs in my head so I could keep a straight face in the scene and not ruin it for everyone.
She added: “There were times when we had breaks between shots and we loved dancing, rehearsing and playing games with each other. One day I finished my scenes early and everyone else – Gajraj ji, Ritwik, Srishti and Barkha played dumb charades I joined them and thought I would play a few rounds and then go home But I lost track of time and ended up playing several rounds My team kept telling me we were late , but it was so much fun that I just couldn’t get up in the middle of the game.”
Talking about a funny meeting with Madhuri Dixit, Srishti Shrivastava said: ‘Tree Padi’ and we had to quickly and gracefully lift our ghagras and walk. With the high energy of the song and the excitement of dancing with Madhuri madam, I did not lift it gently. And she looked at me and started laughing and asked, ‘What are you doing?’ and she taught me how to lift a ghagra gracefully. It was hilarious and at the same time so precious to me, that the diva herself taught me how to lift a ghagra with balance.”
Ritwik Bhowmik added a little more about the experience, saying: “Anand sir was always very encouraging and motivating. He always looked on the bright side. But on this one day we (Barkha and I) finished with one shot and he said ‘Haye mere bache kitna karaab karte ho tum log’ I will never forget that day. He was serious and yet so funny!”
The ‘Maja ma’ family indeed had a lot of fun working on this film, and we can’t wait to share the joy. So get ready to watch this movie this holiday season with your loved ones and the Patel family.
