Mads Mikkelsen explains his Indiana Jones 5 character’s mission

Mads Mikkelsen plays the Nazi Voller in Indiana Jones 5, but what is his role in the film about?

The Nazis are back in Indiana Jones5of Mad Mikkelsen look good in new depictions of his villain. Mikkelsen plays Voller, a Nazi against whom Indiana Jones will compete in a race to claim something that can be used to “make the world a better place”. Exactly how a former Nazi would make the world a better place has a dark connotation and is clearly a reason why Indy wants to prevent Voller from achieving his goal.

Many fans will remember the Nazis’ first confrontation with Indiana in Raiders of the Lost Ark, where they attempted to claim the Ark of the Covenant and all its powers. However, things took a bloody turn when the ark was opened, horrifyingly claiming the lives of all the Nazis around it. Now there’s something new the Regime is looking for, but because it’s set in 1969, a lot has changed for both them and Indy. When it comes to his character, Mikkelsen shared empire magazine that his character has a mission. He said:

“He is a man who wants to correct some mistakes of the past. There is something that could make the world a much better place to live in. He would like to get his hands on it. Indiana Jones wants to get their hands on it too. And so we have a story.”

What exactly are the mistakes that Mikkelsen’s Voller wants to correct is not yet known, but he will be assisted by his “lap dog” Klaber, played by Boyd Holbrook. With chases and adventure anticipated, secrets about Indy’s past, present and future being revealed and the rumors of time travel still being whispered, Indiana Jones5 will be one of the most anticipated movies of next summer.

Will Indiana Jones time travel in Indiana Jones 5?

Talk about a time travel storyline Indiana Jones5 has been the stuff of rumors almost since the movie was announced. There are a number of reasons for this, and so far there has been no clear debunking of the possibility by director James Mangold or anyone involved with the film.

Early set photos seemed to suggest that the film will feature a number of different time periods, and when Antonio Banderas was seen as a Roman gladiator, rumors of a time travel-based plot certainly took a big leap forward. Also in the earliest footage revealed at D23 Expo, the character of John Rhys Davies is seen as challenging Indiana’s belief that he is out of time.

Mads Mikkelsen’s comments that his character is looking for something that could help change past mistakes and make the world a “much better place to live in” could suggest time travel, if the character returns wants to go. and maybe prevent World War II from ending the way he did. This is just one of the fan theories being spread on social media. Whether time travel plays a role in Indiana Jones’ latest adventure is unclear, but after encountering aliens and being in the presence of many forbidden and otherworldly artifacts, it wouldn’t be the most incredible adventure of his career.
