Major Marvel Studios Releases Shake Up Delays Blade, Deadpool 3, Fantastic Four, and Secret Wars

It seems Marvel Studios, after the ongoing delays of the Covid pandemic and subsequent delays caused by resource constraints in the industry’s visual effects departments, now have another reason to delay some of their big upcoming releases. It seems that the loss of Sheet director Bassam Tariq and the subsequent need to take the time to regroup on the Mahershala Ali-led film has had a ripple effect with a number of other releases, including the recently announced Deadpool 3 and the Multiverse Sagas in conclusion Secret Wars.

The result of all this is a new timeline of Marvel Cinematic Universe releases, with some movies being skipped more than others. Sheetas you’d expect, the longest of these will see delays, shifting nearly a year from the originally planned date of November 3, 2023 to September 6, 2024. Of course, this is the date recently revealed as the day Deadpool finally makes its MCU debut. , but that is now getting a little boost until November 8, 2024.

Further down the line, the Fantastic four movie is now delayed by three months to February 14, 2025, and although Avengers: The Kang Dynasty kept its original release date of May 2, 2025, fans will now have a similar wait time between the last two Avengers films of the Infinity Sagaof Avengers: Secret Wars fell back from November 7, 2025 to May 1, 2026.

There are still several Marvel movies yet to be revealed

While Kevin Feige has been laying out the basics of Phase Six in recent months, he hasn’t given up all of Marvel’s secrets just yet. Of Avengers: Secret Wars now arriving only in May 2026, there are now several movies that will take place between the two Avengers movies that originally made the Multiverse Saga as a two-headed. This includes self-titled releases on July 25, 2025; Nov 7, 2025; and February 13, 2026. Two more movies are listed for release on July 24, 2026 and November 6, 2026.

All in all, it’s quite interesting that there was previously only one movie set between the two massive Avengers movies, similar to how Phase Three played its final cards, but with another two movies now slated between The Kang Dynasty and Secret Warsis there enough time to speculate about what these films could be and how they could be important until the end of the Multiverse Saga. It is quite possible that Doctor Strange 3 could be one of these movies, with Multiverse of madness‘ post-credits scene that has teased another multiverse adventure for the Doctor, and Marvel also recently announced that armor wars will go to the big screen instead of being a Disney+ series. Then there are the likes of Eternals 2, Spider-Man 4, Thor 5 and Shang-Chi 2all of which may arrive sometime in the next few years.

In the ever-changing world of the MCU, while Sheet‘s recast has certainly had an impact on a few movies, it seems that Kevin Feige and his team may have just added a few extra treats to the Multiverse Saga.
