MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

“I’ve seen all the cowboy shows, especially the comedies, and all the gangster shows, and I fell in love with them,” Keaton said in his acceptance speech. THR. “I would go and I would act out the scenes, or create my own scenes, and my parents and my siblings would look at me out the window. And to this day they were never humiliating. They were never dismissive. They never looked down on it. They never ridiculed me. And basically they asked me to re-enact scenes for them.”

Keaton went on to thank his family for that support, adding: “I want to thank them. I just want to thank all those people in my family because they never made me feel like a fool, because I’ve done that myself several times.” And that’s the thing about feeling foolish and fooling yourself and making mistakes There’s tremendous power and merit in that And I’m glad I’ve fooled myself over and over again And yet something I want to say: Over the years we’ve all been through some rough times. There are some doubters. I’ve had some doubters. You know what? We’re cool.”

At one point, Keaton blew, even though the actor had reportedly said, “I love you the fuck.”
