Mike Lindell says the FBI confiscated a Hardy’s cell phone

MyPillow founder and right-wing conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell resurfaced Tuesday when he claimed the FBI confronted him and confiscated his cell phone during an encounter at Hardy’s fast food restaurant.

According to The Daily Beast, Lindell later posted on unspecified social media images of an alleged grand jury summons in Colorado, and what the outlet said appeared to be a warrant. Although he did not post this information on Facebook, and has been permanently suspended from Twitter for his persistent attempts to spread lies about the 2020 election.

According to The Daily Best, one of those documents said: “An official criminal investigation of a suspected felony is being conducted by a United States agency and a federal grand jury in the District of Colorado. As the recipient of the summons, you are not subject to an obligation of confidentiality. However, we request that you do not disclose the existence of this subpoena indefinitely.”

Lindell told The Daily Beast that the alleged cell phone seizure is linked to the investigation of another conspiracy theorist named Dennis Montgomery.

Since the 2020 election, Lindell has been known to advance the conspiracy theory that the election was stolen from former President Donald Trump. His claims prompted a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems, according to business Insider,
