Multiplexes POSTPONE National Cinema Day from September 16 to September 23 to safeguard Brahmastra’s collections : Bollywood News

On September 2, the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) announced that National Cinema Day would be held in India on September 16, with several cinemas offering tickets for just Rs. 75. As expected, moviegoers were cheering. After all, especially in metro cities, the average ticket price is usually more than Rs. 150 or Rs. 200. As a result, the chance to watch a movie at such a cheap rate thrilled the customers and many had already made plans to crowd the cinemas on September 16.

Multiplext POSTS National Film Day from September 16 to September 23 to protect Brahmastra’s collections

However, it seems that the aam junta will have to wait a little longer to take advantage of this offer. A source told Bollywood HungamaThe MAI has decided to postpone National Film Day for a week. It will now be held on Friday, September 23, instead of Friday, September 16.”

When asked about the reason behind this move, the source replied: “The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is currently the dominant film and is doing an excellent job. It was strong even on Monday, proving that it will do strong business into the second weekend as well. Disney, who has released Brahmastratherefore, the multiplex association requested that the celebrations be moved by a week.”

The source continued: “The MAI and the multiplex teams found merit in their request. We all know that Brahmastra is a very expensive film. It needs to clock a huge number of times daily to become a hit and the Rs. 75 bid may prove to be a downer. The multiplexes are also grateful for Brahmastra because this is the film that ended the dry spell at the box office. That’s why they all agreed with Disney’s plea. National Film Day will now take place on September 23 on Brahmastrathe third Friday.”

One industry expert noted: “Brahmastra‘s ticket fares are inflated. Yet the audience comes in large numbers. They will also do that on the second weekend, regardless of ticket prices, so it is a practical move not to sell his ticket on the eighth day for dirt cheap prices.

National Cinema Day was celebrated in the US on September 3. Multiplexes there offered movie tickets for a price of only $3 (about Rs. 240). The United Kingdom and countries in the Middle East also participated.

According to the MAI, multiplex chains such as PVR, Inox, Cinepolis, Carnival, Miraj, City Pride, Asian, Mukta A2, Movie Time, Wave, M2K, Delite etc. will participate in the celebrations.

“National Cinema Day brings audiences of all ages together to enjoy a day at the cinema. It also celebrates the successful reopening of cinemas and is a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers who made this possible. It is an invitation to those moviegoers who have not yet returned to a movie theater near them,” the MAI said in a statement.
