The network managed to capture a strong audience total of 6.3 million viewers overnight
NBC’s “One Chicago” franchise rose to the top of broadcast ratings during primetime on Wednesday. The network averaged the most viewers, with nearly 6.3 million people tuning in overnight, with the highest rating at 0.67 among the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic.
“Chicago Fire” was the most-watched and highest-rated show of the night, airing from 9 p.m. to 0.68 p.m. with a demo and 6.8 million viewers.

However, it was not an easy victory for NBC, as there was considerable competition among other broadcasters. CBS’s “Survivor”, which aired 8 to 10, reeled in 0.66 and 6.6 million eyeballs in the demo. The network did not fare as well as NBC overall, although with a 0.38 demo rating and 2.5 million viewers pulled in for “The Amazing Race”.
Fox’s “The Masked Singer” matched “Survivor” in the demo, but could only post a total of 3.9 million viewers.

According to official Live Plus Same-Day Nielsen data, NBC was first in ratings with an average of 0.67 ratings in the main demo and 6.3 million in total viewers.
“Chicago Made” closed things out at 8 p.m. with a 0.66 demo rating and 6.6 million total viewers, at 9 p.m., “Chicago Fire” reached 0.68 in the demo and 6.8 million total viewers. “Chicago PD” closed the night at 10 with a 0.66 demo rating and 5.4 million total viewers.
CBS was second in ratings with an average of 0.52 in demos and 3.6 million in total viewers. At 8 p.m. “Survivor” received a 0.66 demo rating and a total of 4.6 million viewers, at 10 p.m., “The Amazing Race” finished with 0.38 in the demo and 2.5 million total viewers.
ABC ranked third in ratings with an average of 0.51 in demos and 2.7 million in total viewers. “The Conners” garnered 0.51 demo ratings and 3.5 million total viewers at 8:30 p.m., “The Goldbergs” garnered 0.36 demo ratings and 2.1 million total viewers. “Abbott Elementary” brought in a 0.46 demo rating and a total of 2.5 million viewers at 9. “Home Economics” posted a 0.3 demo rating and 1.9 million total viewers at 9:30, and “Big Sky” ended things with 0.19 and 1.9 million. Fox was in fourth place in the ratings with an average of 0.34 in demos and 2.3 million in total viewers. “The Masked Singer” hit a high note with 0.66 in the demo and 3.9 million total viewers at 8 p.m., with “Lego Masters” making its way to a total of 0.35 and 1.5 million viewers.
The CW ranked fifth in ratings with an average of 0.04 in demos and 291,000 in total viewers. The re-run of “DC’s Stargirl” received a demo rating of 0.04 and a total of 255,000 viewers at 8 p.m. . The first drew a total of 320,000 spectators, while the second grew to 332,000.
