Netflix releases trailer and season 3 premiere date

More than two years after season two ended, Dead to me finally returns to Netflix for its third and final season. On Saturday, during Netflix’s worldwide fan event Tudum, the streamer released a trailer, announcing that the series will return on November 17. Created by Liz Feldman, Dead to me Stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as Jen and Judy, respectively, two women who meet in a mourning group after the death of Jen’s husband. The two opposites form an unlikely but strong friendship that survives even the news that Judy played an accidental role in Jen’s husband’s death.

As we can see in the trailer above, the anticipated season 3 kicks off right after the hit and run that involves Jen, Judy, and a drunken Ben (James Marsden), who flees the scene after the big crash. Both women are rushed to the hospital and Judy walks next to Jen, who is on a stretcher. A comedic exchange ensues between the two women and a nurse, confirming that the two have not lost their momentum. The trailer also features some flashbacks of events from the first two seasons, which is handy since it’s been a while since we last saw Jen and Judy.
