Director Dwight Little will gather some big names in the horror world for his next feature film. Deadline reports that Little, who directed, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myerswill be at the helm of the horror thriller Natty Klopt from Movie Bridge After Dark. In November, the film will be presented to potential buyers on the American Film Market.
The film will reunite former child star Danielle Harris with little; she previously played Jamie Lloyd, the daughter of Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode, in Halloween 4. There are also other horror legends attached to the film Robert Englund (A nightmare on Elm Street), which Little also directed in The Phantom of the Operaand Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejections) alongside Jason James Richter (Free Willy) and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim (Evil lives here). Richter will also co-produce with Sandy Little and Amit Sarin, while Vineesha-Arora will serve as executive producers.
Written by Benjamin Olson, Natty Klopt follows a “little nanny (Fountain-Jardim) who on Halloween night, along with her ‘children’, must survive serial killer Abner Honeywell, who is herself the traumatized son of the B-movie horror legend known as ‘Natty Knocks’. ‘”
“Natty Klopt is another great entry into Dwight’s remarkable and lengthy genre filmography,” Film Bridge After Dark’s Jordan Dykstra said in a statement. “Horror has really worked at all levels of the market lately, and the timing couldn’t be better to Natty reveal.”
Little added: “Since working with Robert Englund on ghost of the operaI’ve been looking for a way for us to find a project to do together. Natty Klopt is exactly the small-town horror movie I was hoping to find to return in this genre.
Dwight Little helped make Danielle Harris a horror star
Directed after Dwight Little Halloween 4, Danielle Harris would forever remain a horror icon. She reprized her role as Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers before appearing as Annie Brackett in both Rob Zombie’s Halloween movies. Harris continues to have a strong presence in the horror community with her podcast, talk scary to mewhich she co-hosts with Halloween co-star Scout Taylor-Compton.
Robert Englund is perhaps most synonymous with Freddy Krueger, although he recently returned to the horror genre with another memorable role in the Netflix series. Weird stuff. Recently, his co-star from the original Freddy Krueger movie, Heather Langenkamp, said she hopes to fight Freddy one more time in a legacy sequel to A nightmare on Elm Street. Like the fans, she’s waiting for Englund to come back as Freddy one more time.
For now, these horror stars will be seen together in Natty Klopt. The film has no release date yet.
