The untimely death of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Vaishali Takkar by suicide has left the TV fraternity with a deep shock. The actress was found hanging from the ceiling in her home in Indore on October 16. She held her ex-boyfriend Rahul Navlani and his wife Diksha Navlani, who were also her neighbors, responsible for her extreme step. Now her close friend Nishant Malkhani has revealed that Vaishali’s ex Rahul threatened her to leak her intimate photos to her finances.
Nishant made a big disclosure by saying that Rahul continued to harass Vaishali even after he got married. He intensified his level of harassment after Vaishali got engaged. He said Rahul would torture her and her fiancé via text message. She was in therapy and even consulted a psychiatrist.
“Rahul wouldn’t let her go any further. She was in depression. She had consulted a psychiatrist. I now realize the magnitude of her problem, when I hear things like Rahul wanting to show their intimate photos to her soon-to-be Intimacy happens when you being in a relationship, but that doesn’t mean you threaten to share those moments with someone else if you break up,” Nishant told TOI.
Now that Rahul has been arrested by Indore police, Nishant said he kept things to himself, but now the truth must come out. Rahul and Diksha have been tried under Section 306 (Initiation of suicide) and 34 (Acts done by different persons in furtherance of the common intention) of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly persuading Vaishali to commit suicide.
Vaishali was about to marry a US-based software engineer named Mitesh in December. She had also made elaborate plans for the wedding shops and a party after Diwali.
