Readers will know that Nivin Pauly has always been special to Indian Super League (ISL) and Kerala Blasters. The actor, who was the ambassador of the football team during the first ISL season, made this season even more special by giving his fans a little treat. On Friday, during the first game of this season, Nivin unveiled the trailer for his upcoming movie padavettu making it the first film to be launched at the ISL location.

Nivin Pauly is seen as the protagonist in padavettu which is a high-octane action thriller set against the backdrop of a small town as an oppressed section of a community decides to rebel against the system. Speaking about the launch of the trailer, a source close to the actor said: “With the launch of the film’s trailer on ISL, Navin has become a part of football history. The trailer of the film was flashed on the giant screen in the stadium. And it roared and soared as Nivin and his group of actors presented themselves in front of a crowd of 30,000 people.”
The source added: “The launch of the trailer was a real treat for his fans and well-wishers. The actor also shared his immense joy at launching the trailer for all of them and also pledged his support for Kerala Blasters and confirmed his undying cooperation with the Yellow Army.” He also shared this video of the big event on his Instagram:
padavettu is produced by Saregama in association with Sunny Wayne Productions and directed by Liju Krishna. The film stars Aditi Balan, Shammi Thilakan, Shine Tom Chacko, Indrans, among others. While the music is composed by Govind Vasantha, the lyrics are written by Anwar Ali. The stunts are directed by Dinesh Subbarayan. It is planned to hit the white screens on October 21, 2022.
