‘No point in getting better than what we’re seeing’

Whoopi Goldberg and Alyssa Milano found themselves on different sides of a Twitter argument Tuesday morning, as the latter actress and activist admitted that despite her hatred of Elon Musk, she’ll be on the platform.

While appearing on “The View,” Milano detailed why she returned her Tesla in protest to Musk — explaining that, along with his involvement in the MeToo movement, was to ignore the sexual assault allegations against him. Was too much – but continues to be on Twitter. When asked if she would remain on the social platform, Milano replied in the affirmative.

“Yeah, because we can’t hand over that area,” she said. “It’s like a turf war now. That’s how I see it.”

To that, Whoopi disagreed, interjecting before Milano could continue and argue that, since Musk’s takeover of the company, it has reached the point of no return.

“No. Not that. that One you don’t – there are others you can come and grab, leave it at them,” said Whoopi. “‘Cause that’s what it’s meant to be now. There’s no point in getting better than what we’re seeing.”

However, Milano retorted, arguing that if the men leave, it is as if they are giving up the fight entirely.

“But if we’re not representing our side of the political discourse, aren’t we just saying, ‘You know you can have Twitter?'” he retorted. Behr agreed, saying it was like “you’re handing it over.”

Whoopi, however, remained tight-lipped about why she herself decided to leave Twitter a few weeks ago.

“Some things you have to stay away from until you get a handle on it. Right now, there’s no way to get that control,” she said. “And so, find those that you can get to and fix, and then come back and run at it. But do your yourself a favor. Do yourself a favor.
