For years, the Skywalker Saga movies were the only official Star Wars features to be produced in live action. That started to change with Rogue One: A Star Wars Storywho blew the crowd away like the best Star Wars Disney era movie. Rogue One introduced the world to the Rebel spy, Cassian Andor, but gave him limited screen time before meeting his heroic end. Now Cassian Andor has become the newest Star Wars character to get his own Disney+ series Andorrawhich was designed to lead into the events of Rogue One.
Set during the earliest days of the rebellion, Andorra introduced brand new characters while bringing back a few familiar faces at the same time. Series creator Tony Gilroy has returned to the Rogue One-style of making Star Wars feel ‘real’. As such, the primary characters in the series will not wield lightsabers, nor will they have the power to telekinetically lift rocks. Again, we’re back to seeing ordinary people doing extraordinary things. You may have already seen the cast of andor.
Diego Luna
The titular character of Andorra was played by Diego Lunawho made his debut in the Star Wars universe six years ahead of in Rogue One. Outside star wars, Luna played in Dirty Dancing: Hava Nights as Javier Suarez, the terminal as Enrique Cruz, and the first two seasons of Narcos: Mexico as Miguel ngel Felix Gallardo. Luna is no stranger to voice roles, leading The book of life as Manolo Sánchez, and Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans on Netflix as Krel Tarron. In 2011, Luna appeared in the music video for Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away” as the artist’s boyfriend.

Genevieve O’Reilly has been playing Mon Mothma since then Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. She reprized the role in both Rogue One and Star Wars Rebels. O’Reilly has appeared in Do not forget me as Eve Fisher, Tarzan’s mother in The Legend of Tarzanand Gretchen in the dry one. On television, O’Reilly has been recognized for playing Hazel Buchanan on The secret and Angela Worth on tin star. Some people were surprised to find out that O’Reilly was the voice of Moira in the hugely popular video game overwatch.
Stellan Skarsgard
Join a galaxy far, far, away like Luthen Rael, Stellan Skarsgard has already been part of several other Disney franchises. He played Dr. Erik Selvig in the Thor and avengers movies, the Grand Duke in 2015 Cinderellaand Bootstrap Bill Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Recently Skarsgård was the villainous Baron Vladimir Harkonnen in Dune. You can also catch Skarsgård in Mama Mia! as Bill Anderson and Boris Shcherbina in the HBO miniseries Chernobyl.

Before she was Bix Caleen in andor, Adria Arjona was Sofia Herrera in the 2022 romantic comedy Bride’s Father. Arjona appeared in several Netflix Original action movies and played Yovanna in Triple limit and Amela, aka “Five” (The Doctor), in the Michael Bay-directed feature film 6 Underground. Other notable roles include Leandra Florez in The Belko ExperimentJules Reyes in Pacific Rim: Uprising, and Martine Bancroft in morbius. In the role of Dorothy Gale, Arjona led the cast of the NBC series Emerald city.

Denise Gough has joined the Imperial Security Bureau as: Star Wars‘Dedra Meero. Shortly before the release of AndorraGough starred in the true crime miniseries Under the banner of heaven as Diana Lafferty. Alongside Sebastian Stan, Gough played one of the two main characters in the 2020 film Monday. In 2021, Gough got another lead as Sarah in the British horror film Martyrs Lane.
Kyle Soller
Andorra‘s Syria, Kyle Soller is perhaps best known for his roles as Scotty McNeil in You, me and the apocalypse and Francis Poldark in Poldark. Over the years, Soller Henry has played in The storage roomKarl Inkelaar in Monsters: Dark Continentand Porter in medullary bone. Soller has had mainly supporting or background roles, but that seems to be changing after the release of Andorra. Years of performing on stage led to Soller receiving the 2019 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor (via the guard) for his performance as Eric Glass in The inheritance.

She was an important part of kill eve as Carolyn Martens and was in the fourth season of real blood as Marnie Stonebrook. on flea bagShaw made a brief appearance, but left a powerful impression as Fleabag’s counselor.

After first playing Saw Gerrera in rogue one, Forest Whitaker resumed his role Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order before Andorra. An experienced and acclaimed actor outside the Star Wars franchise, Whitaker recently portrayed Aretha Franklin’s father in the 2021 biopic respect. Some of Whitaker’s impressive performances include Idi Amin in The Last King of ScotlandCecil Gaines in the butlerand crime boss Bumpy Johnson in Godfather of Haarlem. In 2018, Whitaker Zuri, the keeper of the heart-shaped herb in Black Panther.
