Demand for Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” prequel soared 56% during premiere week
In this weekly data series powered by Parrot Analytics, we look back at the top breakout shows from the past week. The breakout show is the most sought after series which premiered in the last 100 days.
As predicted last week, Paramount+ prolific showrunner Taylor Sheridan is at it again. ,tulsa king“Ended December 18th, and the next series in the Sheridan-verse,”1923,” made its debut in the rankings following its premiere on the same date.

“1923” had strong demand in its debut week, as a 56% increase in demand saw it rank ninth on the chart with 16.8 times higher demand than the average series, according to data from Parrot Analytics, which noted consumer research. Keeps in Streaming, downloads and social media, among other engagements.
“The Tulsa King” took third place in the rankings and ended the week on a high note, as the show saw a 5% increase in demand following the season finale, which generated 26.8 times more demand than the series average. So far, “Tulsa King” has received generally positive reviews and has already been renewed by Paramount+ for another season because it was the driving force behind the platform’s “Tulsa King.”record signup day,
While Netflix’sWednesdayRemaining at the top of the new show rankings for another week, the series is declining in demand as viewers begin to turn their attention to newer shows. There was a 38% drop in on-chain demand this week, and the average on-chain demand was only 48.6x, much lower than last week’s demand level.
This Week in TV Tokyo/Crunchroll’s “chainsaw manThere was a 12% increase in demand after the airing of its first episode on 21 December. It is likely that we will see some uptick in demand for the show next week as data comes in on its controversial finale episode. At the moment, the finale of the anime is reminiscent of HBO’s “game of Thronesfinale, with fans signing a petition to redo the finale as a result of their dissatisfaction with how the series is currently adapted. It remains to be seen how the show will perform next week, but as of this week, it took fourth place in the rankings with 26 times the average series demand.

Disney+’s “Santa ClausFollowing the airing of its finale on 16 December in the week before Christmas, demand increased by a further 10%, making the show 21.6 times higher in demand than the average series.
Meanwhile, Netflix’s “Harry and MeghanIt continued to attract attention from viewers in the US for a second week. The series ranked seventh in the rankings with 19.7 times the average series demand, a further 13% increase over the previous week’s demand.
Rounding out the rankings this week, we look at “1899“The average series held its position on the chart at number 10 with 16 times the demand, a 5% increase. It is interesting to see that there is an increase in demand about a month into the series premiere, which is explained by the fact that Most shows see an increase in demand during the holiday season as viewers have more time to watch episodes at this time of the year. It remains to be seen whether the series can stay in the rankings for another week. as viewers shift their attention to other newer shows.
