For Parineeti Chopra, her next one Code name: Tiranga, has many firsts in her film career. She’s making the first action movie of her career and also playing an on-screen cop for the first time with this Ribhu Dasgupta movie! The actress has wowed everyone with her gritty action avatar in the film’s teaser that came out yesterday and audiences praised her ability to constantly surprise with her choice of roles and also her ability to push herself as an artist.
Parineeti Chopra wanted to be an agent for the country as a child; says Codename: Tiranga is a dream come true
Parineeti says: “As an actor, we have been consistently blessed with many firsts throughout our career. I am thrilled to be making my first full-length action movie in my 11th year in the cinema and I am ecstatic at the response I am getting to the teaser of Code Name Tiranga. It’s hugely encouraging for someone who has never dabbled in this genre before.”
She adds: “The teaser is just a glimpse of what to expect from the trailer and my on-screen performance. I pushed myself and my body for this intensely physically challenging film, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had always wanted to present myself on screen in a brand new way with the action genre and I couldn’t have found a better movie to do the same as it allowed me to express myself freely and show the audience what I can do when presented with an opportunity like this!”
Parineeti says she wanted to grow up as a child and become an agent for India and is thrilled that her dream of having children has come true on screen. She says: “Speaking of firsts, I also play an on-screen cop for the first time. Growing up, I fantasized about being an cop for my country and protecting it with all my heart. I carried a toy gun and pretended to be the best agent in the service of India, so I am also going to fulfill my childhood dream in Code Name Tiranga.”
She adds: “It made me feel the same kick every day that I felt as a debutant as I prepared for the film and on set. I’m really happy that people love our teaser and I hope they love our trailer too.” !”
Code Name: Tiranga will hit theaters on October 14. Parineeti Chopra is paired with Harrdy Sandhu in this spy thriller.
