Peacock Announces Adult Animated Comedy From Office Alums

Peacock has officially entered the pungent adult animation space with the announcement of a straight-to-series order for “In the No”, a stop-motion NPR-themed series from “The Office,” executive produce. Mike Judge (“Beavis and Butt-Head”), with Brandon Gardner and Dustin Davis.

Judge, Woods and Gardner co-produced the series, which also starred the former two. Daniels and Davis executive produce for Bandera Entertainment, along with series from Studio Universal Television, a division of Universal Studios Group.

The logline for “In the Know” is as follows: “Lauren Caspian is NPR’s third most popular host. She’s a well-intentioned, hypocritical Nimrod just like you and me. She’s also a stop motion puppet. Each episode shows Lauren’s show In. Follows the creation of an episode of The No, in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews with real-world human guests. Lauren collaborates with a diverse crew of NPR employees. They’re also puppets and Nimrod.”

“Into the Know will capture these conversations, many of which are in our daily lives in an elevated, hilarious way,” Lisa Katz, president of scripted content at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said in a statement. “We are excited to have the best in the business in Mike, Greg, Zach and Brandon and to work with our partners at Universal Television.”

“We are thrilled to be working with such a skilled team on this unique and inventive series and can’t wait for viewers to know,” said Universal TV President, Erin Underhill.
