Piers Morgan Presents Fox Nation Serial Killer Series – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Piers Morgan will return to true crime documentaries as part of his global deal with News Corp and Fox News Media.

That Piers Morgan uncensored Moderator moderates the provisionally titled Piers Morgan’s killerin which he will go behind prison walls to interview some of America’s most notorious criminals.

The six-part series will stream on Fox Nation, the subscription video service. It is produced by Plum Pictures, the UK production house behind Amazon James May: Our Man in… and the streamer’s upcoming Serena Williams documentary.

In addition to interviewing killers, Morgan will provide context on their crimes and speak to police officers and attorneys involved in bringing them to justice. The former CNN anchor will also interview the families of the killers and their victims.

“He’s going to go to different prisons across the US, sit face-to-face with these killers and use the interviewing style he’s become known for to get to the bottom of their crimes,” a source said.

Morgan indicated he would be presenting true crime documentaries when he signed his deal with News Corp and Fox News Media in September last year, but the details have remained under wraps until now.

He has previously worked with Plum Pictures hosting documentaries for UK broadcaster ITV. His shows include Killer Women with Piers Morgan and Psychopath starring Piers Morganthe former of which attracted more than five million viewers.

Morgan was in Qatar filming his late night show Uncensored during the World Cup. The series, which has benefited from Rupert Murdoch’s heavy investment, has had mixed success since launching in April.

Uncensored hardly registers an audience on traditional television in the UK, where it is the cornerstone of TalkTV’s schedule. But Morgan and his colleagues have pointed this out uncensored online performance, arguing that it was fairer to judge the show on its virality.

The program has nearly 600,000 YouTube subscribers, while its top-performing videos have amassed more than seven million streams. Morgan also places a lot of emphasis on the excitement his interviews generate. His recent meeting with ex-Manchester United footballer Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines around the world and has been viewed millions of times on YouTube.
