With you or with me is the new romantic comedy Netflix is betting on in the coming months. It’s a film with renowned performers on and off the camera that aims to be part of a new golden age for romantic comedies while bringing back two of their most classic protagonists.

As the official synopsis intuitively indicates, the film reinvents the classic romantic genre of the early 2000s and adapts it to this time.

With you or with me stars Reese Witherspoon as Debbie and Ashton Kutcher as Peter in their return to romantic comedies. Witherspoon has been away from the big screen for a few years as she focused on her television career. It is currently unclear how long filming took, but as the film gears up for release, filming has now finally been completed.
With you or with me is a classic romantic comedy harking back to the genre’s golden age — the early 2000s — with a modern twist in the style of what Marry me did with Jennifer Lopez in charge. Even though the film is in an advanced stage of post-production, it doesn’t look like premiering in the months remaining before the end of the year makes sense. October is officially the spooky season and when it’s over, the Christmas themed movies will start pouring in. While the latter usually have a love story in the middle, they are not in the same vein as With you or with me. Therefore, 2023 seems like the ideal time to release the film.
And there’s no more perfect time to do it than February, the month of love. Valentine’s Day is the official day for romcoms, and With you or with me premieres close enough, as it’s coming to Netflix on February 10.
